Position Overview

This person will own n6’s clinical diagnostics business development effort—from identifying the right accounts and applications through evaluation, validation, procurement, and routine use.

Clinical genomics is moving toward increasingly sensitive and high-throughput applications where preserving data quality, sample diversity, and library complexity is critical. iconPCR provides independent control of amplification for every sample, helping laboratories reduce unnecessary amplification and amplification-driven bias while protecting the valuable information carried into sequencing.

The ideal candidate combines strong clinical NGS knowledge with the network, experience, and commercial judgment needed to build complex clinical accounts. While this individual will work cooperatively with sales and field applications, the focus will heaviliy weighted toward longer term clinical market adoption vs. immediate term revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Market Development and Strategic Accounts
  • Develop and execute n6’s business development strategy for the clinical diagnostics market.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value clinical laboratories, diagnostic companies, assays, and workflows for iconPCR adoption.
  • Use existing industry relationships and experience to engage the right scientific, laboratory, operational, and business leaders.
  • Build detailed account plans based on each customer’s applications, workflows, validation requirements, decision process, and commercial potential.
  • Build and maintain a focused pipeline of qualified clinical diagnostics opportunities.
  • Own opportunities from initial engagement through technical evaluation, validation, implementation, and routine use.
  • Develop multi-instrument, multi-site, and broader strategic account opportunities.
Technical and Commercial Leadership
  • Understand customer assays, sample types, library-preparation workflows, throughput, automation environments, sequencing platforms, data-quality requirements, and validation needs.
  • Identify where iconPCR can help preserve library complexity and sample diversity, reduce amplification-driven bias, improve data quality, and simplify clinical NGS workflows.
  • Develop clear technical, operational, and economic cases for adoption.
  • Work with Field Applications, Product, R&D, Software, and other internal teams to design and support customer evaluations and validation programs.
  • Establish clear technical success criteria and commercial next steps before evaluations begin.
  • Help customers interpret evaluation results and connect technical performance to workflow, data-quality, and business value.
  • Develop evaluation structures, proposals, pricing approaches, and commercial programs appropriate for high-value clinical accounts.
  • Maintain clear visibility into account progress, risks, timelines, and next actions.
Customer Relationships and External Engagement
  • Build trusted relationships with laboratory directors, assay-development teams, clinical operations leaders, scientific leaders, quality teams, and executives.
  • Develop internal champions who can help move iconPCR toward broader adoption within their organizations.
  • Identify potential reference customers, clinical advocates, application partners, and customer datasets suitable for case studies or publications.
  • Represent n6 at clinical genomics conferences, customer meetings, workshops, seminars, and industry events.
  • Track market developments and emerging clinical applications where iconPCR may provide a meaningful advantage.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate the right support across Sales, Field Applications, Product, R&D, Software, and Marketing for priority clinical accounts.
  • Bring customer needs and market feedback into product, workflow, software, and commercial planning.
  • Help define the documentation, evidence, workflow support, and product capabilities needed for adoption in clinical laboratories.
  • Build a repeatable approach for evaluating, developing, and supporting clinical diagnostics accounts.
Qualifications
  • Significant experience in clinical genomics, molecular diagnostics, clinical NGS, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated success in business…
