Senior Construction Superintendent; Ground-Up Commercial & Public Works Construction - Pleasan

We are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead complex, large-scale ground-up construction projects across the Bay Area. This role is critical to ensuring project success from site preparation through final completion, overseeing safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client relationships.

The Senior Superintendent serves as the on-site leader, bringing together project teams, trade partners, architects, engineers, and owners to deliver highly visible public works and commercial projects. Success in this role directly impacts project profitability, client satisfaction, safety performance, and long-term business growth.

• Lead all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Manage large-scale ground-up commercial and public works projects valued at $50M+.
• Oversee steel and concrete foundations, structural systems, building enclosures, MEP systems, and project finishes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, schedules, and project specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, project managers, engineers, architects, and owners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor construction schedules, establish critical paths, and proactively address project risks and delays.
• Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain strong working relationships across all stakeholders.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and digital blueprints.
• Provide daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates.
• Lead and mentor field staff, superintendents, project engineers, and support personnel.
• Support constructability reviews, problem-solving efforts, and continuous project improvement initiatives.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, design teams, and trade partners while representing the company professionally on-site.

• 12+ years of construction experience with significant ground-up project leadership responsibilities.
• 8+ years leading field operations as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.
• Proven experience managing large-scale public works or commercial construction projects valued at $50M-$100M+.
• Strong expertise in steel and concrete structures, foundations, building enclosures, MEP systems, utilities, and finishes.
• Experience leading multiple superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to read, interpret, and manage civil, structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, quality control, safety management, and subcontractor coordination.
• Experience working directly with owners, architects, engineers, and design teams.
• Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with educational facilities, public works, DSA-regulated projects, or state-funded construction is highly preferred.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening requirements.

• Competitive base salary: $150,000 - $215,000 annually
