Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Project Manager to join our team in the Construction industry. This role manages projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of projects, while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including planning, coordination, budgeting, and risk management.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that align customer requirements with company goals and coordinate managers and technical personnel during all project phases.
- Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
- Manage project progress and adapt work as required to ensure on-schedule delivery and adherence to budget.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure conformance with design specifications and building codes.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach favorable agreements.
- Monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and design professionals as necessary.
- Resolve issues arising from unforeseen circumstances or on-site challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on civil construction.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role in construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Excellent knowledge of construction project management software such as Procore or similar.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
- PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
