We are seeking a multi skilled Event Technician for the delivery of live event production services in alignment with a premiere technology client at their newly built event center. This role is responsible for working with a team of event production professionals to deliver end-to-end live event production. The ideal candidate should have a high technical background with previous experience in production systems.
The ideal candidate has experience with Ross TD2S switcher, Grand
MA lighting console, PTZ cameras and controllers, Yamaha DM7 audio console, Analog Way, and experience with wide format displays. The candidate requires experience in the successful planning and delivering of live events, strong problem solving skills, training others, experience with integrated systems, and a desire to learn new skills and keep up with advancements in technology.
- Provides top-class customer service skills, being able to explain our services to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Responsible, along with other Technicians and Specialists, for the successful planning, staffing, and delivery of event requests, held within the client’s fully equipped event center
- Work closely alongside external AV vendors and freelancers, ensuring the needs of the internal stakeholder are fully communicated and met
- Able to operate, configure, and troubleshoot a range of integrated systems including Ross TD2S console, PTZ Cameras and controllers, Grand
MA Lighting console, Yamaha DM7 console, and Analog Way - Able to operate other event audio-visual systems as required
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment when and where necessary
- Assists in maintaining audio visual equipment as required.
- Escalates equipment failures to appropriate in-house teams and assists with the resolution as needed to maintain service levels
- Ensures SOPs are developed and followed, and that contingency planning is included in event support
- Is involved in special projects or assignments as allocated and executes them within the given timeline
- Contributes to R&D efforts, identifying ways in which we can improve quality of output, efficiency through automation/tooling and process improvements
- Is responsible for managing technical risks throughout pre-production planning, execution and post event
- Able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of running a full scale event
- Setting the gold standard for delivering high-quality service to our clients
- Adheres to broadcast standards for remote and recorded attendees
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
- Develop and support relationships within both the client and wider Team People team
- Performs other ad hoc duties as required by the business

MA Lighting console, Yamaha DM7 console, and Analog Way - Experience working in a live event and broadcast environment
- An appetite for discovering new technologies and how they can be implemented to enhance the attendee experience
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team
- Self starter that can demonstrate being open to learning
- Understanding and experience of various event formats
- A strong sense of urgency, excellent problem-solving abilities while under the pressure of a live event environment
- Minimum 5-10 years of professional technical live event experience
- Certifications such as DES, CTS, PMP, or similar are encouraged but not required
- Bachelor's degree in media production, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field is preferred
