PROJECT ARCHITECT – SENIOR TECHNICAL LEAD
For Architects Who Want Their Experience to Truly Matter
If you’re a technically strong architect who enjoys thoughtful work, mentoring others, and being part of a team you can count on, you’ll fit right in here.
PHD Architects is seeking a skilled, team-oriented Project Architect to help lead healthcare and education projects with clarity, precision, and confidence.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Enjoys working in the office with a connected, collaborative team
- Values stability, predictability, and meaningful work
- Enjoys mentoring junior staff and sharing practical knowledge
- Thrives in an environment where experience is respected
- Appreciates a positive culture where people support one another
This role may not be a fit if:
- You prefer working fully remote or independently most of the time
- You are not interested in mentoring or guiding younger team members
- Technical coordination or QA/QC feels tedious rather than rewarding
If this sounds like a place where you’d feel at home, keep reading.
What you’re looking for:
- A stable role with a supportive, in-office team culture
- Meaningful projects that improve healthcare and education environments
- Trust in your judgment and technical expertise
- A team where professionalism, reliability, and follow-through matter
- Opportunities to guide, mentor, and influence project quality
- Leadership that values clear communication and thoughtful decision-making
Who we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of architectural experience (healthcare or institutional preferred)
- Strong technical skills in detailing, coordination, and documentation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam (Revit is a plus)
- A natural mentor with clear, confident communication skills
- Calm, organized, and steady under pressure
- Someone who values quality, structure, and clear processes
What you’ll do:
- Lead the technical development of healthcare and education projects
- Perform QA/QC and uphold drawing and documentation standards
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Guide junior and intermediate team members
- Participate in project meetings with clarity and confidence
- Help improve workflows, standards, and internal processes
- This role allows you to be the technical backbone of the project team — the person others trust, learn from, and rely on.
