Licensed Architect / Project Manager, Commercial, Pleasanton, CA

This hybrid position requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite in our Pleasanton, CA office. The applicant is a fully competent architect in all conventional aspects of architecture, responsible for specific technical design aspects on major projects or several smaller projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client’s needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Independently perform a wide range of assignments encompassing all conventional aspects of architectural design, applying advanced concepts to projects of moderate size and complexity.
  • Conduct design, planning, and occupancy analyses and develop design layouts.
  • Prepare project specifications by compiling, coordinating and analyzing relevant data.
  • Provide professional architecture services from Schematic Design through building permit submittal and Construction Administration.
  • Direct, coordinate and oversee the production of project design, construction documents and construction administration.
  • Monitor project budgets and maintain accurate and thorough project documentation.
  • Review drawings and designs to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced staff, including redlining and reviewing others’ work.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and outside consultants.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
  • Substantial experience developing details and providing technical and design support through Design Development for commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes with demonstrated awareness of code limitations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, coordinating effectively and maintaining positive working relationships with technical staff, outside consultants, and clients.
  • Able to provide clear, effective leadership and direction to architectural staff.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Sketch Up modeling, AutoCAD, and Revit/BIM.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Licensed & registered Architect in the state of CA.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience including a minimum of 2 years project management experience.
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture required.
  • Recent experience working on architectural projects within the United States.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. building codes, permitting processes, and construction practices.
  • Experience coordinating with U.S.

    -based clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Commitment to their own professional growth.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.

We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; a pre‑tax Flexible Spending plan; an Employee Stock Ownership Plan; and a 401(k). Salary is $90,000 – $120,000, depending on qualifications.
