An established, award-winning architecture, planning, and design firm is seeking a Licensed Senior Architect to join its growing Multifamily practice in Northern California.
This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee the technical execution of complex multifamily residential projects while collaborating with talented architects, consultants, and clients. The ideal candidate is a licensed architect with extensive multifamily experience, exceptional technical expertise, and a passion for mentoring teams and delivering design excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead the technical execution of complex multifamily residential projects from Schematic Design through Construction Administration.
- Coordinate project teams, consultants, and technical disciplines to deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
- Present technical solutions and design concepts directly to clients while serving as a trusted project leader.
- Direct project documentation, ensuring accuracy, coordination, constructability, and compliance with project goals.
- Oversee quality control of construction documents, producing complete and coordinated drawing sets with minimal revisions.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, consultants, and leadership to develop innovative technical solutions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to architectural staff while fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, responsiveness, and technical expertise.
What You'll Bring
- Extensive experience leading the technical design and documentation of multifamily residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of California building codes and their application throughout the design and construction process.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit/BIM, Sketch Up, and AutoCAD
. - Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor teams while managing multiple complex projects and competing priorities.
- Strong conceptual design abilities with experience taking projects from initial concept through construction.
Qualifications
- Licensed and registered Architect in the State of California.
- 15+ years of multifamily architectural experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.
- Commitment to design excellence, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Salary Range: $122,500 – $140,000
Placement within the salary range is based on education, licensure, qualifications, project complexity, and relevant experience. Final compensation will also consider internal equity and market conditions.
