Location: Pleasanton, CA 94588 (Onsite) with 80%
Duration: 09-month contract (with possible extension)
Start Date: Targeting Mar 2026
Pay Rate: $80/hr to $100/hr. on W2

This hybrid cloud role will be part of a talented team responsible for the growth, ongoing maintenance, and development of IaaS running primarily on Linux and Windows in cloud and on-premises. Provides level 3 support (on an on‑call support rotation model) for complex systems and applications. Work across product teams and operations to design and implement tools that automate infrastructure configurations, provisioning, builds, and deployments.
This position will be remote and will need to work nights and weekends.
- Update, design, and add automation for provisioning and managing infrastructure, operating system, and middleware components.
- Design, engineer, and maintain a highly complex and secure cloud environment for Oracle and Azure Cloud.
- Provide support for complex systems and applications, rolling out new systems, maintaining, migrating, upgrading, and improving long‑term performance.
- Support installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, modification, security, and upgrading of IT systems and components.
- Use tools and mechanisms for distributing new or upgraded software to ensure customers receive current versions of supported software.
- Recommend and design systems architecture and topology with senior staff.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in engineering, design, and documentation.
- Mid-level career experience maintaining large numbers of Linux and Windows servers in Bare Metal, ESX, and Cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of Windows/Linux fundamentals, including system logs, run tracing, debugging tools, and network packet captures.
- Experience with VMware ESX/ESXi/Vcenter, creating vSwitches, port groups, NIC teaming, bonding, VLANs, or virtual networks.
- Experience with public cloud platforms – IaaS, PaaS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Vagrant (Azure & OCI preferred).
- Experience with automation technologies like Infrastructure as Code with Chef, Terraform, and Jenkins. Deployment technologies such as PXE Kickstart, Windows SCCM, and configuration management for mobile devices. Scripting in Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl, or Power Shell preferred.
- Experience with warehouse or manufacturing automation a plus (PLC, Conveyance, Warehouse Controls Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, real‑time systems).
- Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, New‑Relic, Kafka, or other stream services.
