Manages/directs the activities and people associated with small to large scale projects with a focus on any or several non-IT business applications and disciplines. Manage/direct all facets of single or multiple, multidimensional, mission-critical projects through the Full Project Life Cycle.

• Collaborate/work with project sponsors, business units and users to identify project scope and focus, develop or monitor project initiatives, implement project requirements/plans/processes/tools, assign/guide/monitor project staff, and assure project success.
• Deliver quality project solutions to business problems or issues within defined budgets and/or timelines.
• Provide expert project guidance/support proactively through project completion.
• Provide tracking, reporting, and presentation to management and users.
• Manages the development and implementation process of company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products.
• Estimates project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort.
• Prepares project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.
• Directs project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans.
• Assures project quality by using standard development methodologies
• Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
• Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.
• Consults with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge and assisting or mentoring more junior project leaders in project management processes and techniques.

• 7+ years experience
• Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional area
• Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures.
• General understanding of business unit/group function.
• Will perform this job in a quality system environment.
• Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
• Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.

Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing a project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; resolve operational problems, minimize delays. Identify, develop, and gather necessary resources to complete the project.

Prepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors. Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete.

Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are met. Liaise with other areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.

Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team.

Coach and mentor project staff and assist them to solve problems. PMP preferred. Experience with in regulated industry required. Med device preferred.
