Axia Electric is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex electrical and process control systems for critical infrastructure projects in Northern California.
The project is a new Ozonation system at the Sunol Valley Water Treatment Plant in Alameda County, California. The system adds ozone for treatment of raw water and includes ancillary infrastructure improvements. Work will involve construction of new facilities and modification of existing facilities at SVWTP and at two remote sites:
Sunol Brightview Nursery and San Antonio Pump Station.
- Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Exercise judgment in developing work details, preliminary selections, and engineering alternatives.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids.
- Assist with field inspections to evaluate work performed and materials used.
- Support construction administration and document deficiencies and deviations from plans.
- Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior team member.
- Research and compile project information for reporting, marketing, and funding requests.
- Create and maintain centralized project records, including digital files.
- Coordinate logistics and meetings for project managers.
- Help prepare reports, including monthly development reports.
- Assist with community outreach duties as needed.
- Attend neighborhood, community, and project meetings.
- Undertake tasks as assigned by project managers.
- Understand the budget and help create and adhere to project and development budgets.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Prior experience on Rail, Transit, or Water/Wastewater construction projects.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Highly organized with excellent time‑management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
The salary range is $112,000 – $135,000 per year, depending on experience and education.
