Webuild () is seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to lead strategic civil infrastructure initiatives across the San Francisco Bay Area. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-level technical direction and manage multiple high-profile projects that influence the region’s-built environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will oversee the full project lifecycle for geotechnical projects including slope stability, rockfall mitigation, landslide remediation, dams, and retaining structures, with project scopes up to $10 million. Responsibilities include managing client relationships at an executive level, developing proposals, monitoring budgets and schedules, mentoring multidisciplinary teams, overseeing geotechnical design and review processes, and providing authoritative onsite guidance during construction to maintain quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
CandidateProfile
The ideal candidate will have six to ten years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Sciences (Master’s preferred), and maintain Professional Engineer and/or Certified Engineering Geologist registration in California. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to influence clients and stakeholders while driving business development.
