Job Overview
Axia Electric is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to play a key role in delivering complex electrical and process control systems for critical infrastructure projects in Northern California. This position involves the new Ozonation system at the Sunol Valley Water Treatment Plant in Alameda County, California, focusing on adding ozone for treatment of the raw water and ancillary infrastructure improvements. The work includes construction of new facilities and modifications to existing sites at SVWTP, Sunol Brightview Nursery, and San Antonio Pump Station.

Axia Electric, headquartered in Riverside, California, focuses on large public owners in several states across water resources, water treatment, transportation and transit markets. The division has grown significantly over the past decade, securing major projects.
Responsibilities- Perform assignments that require the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
- Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
- Prepare engineering-related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
- Assist with field inspections to evaluate the work performed and materials used.
- Assist with construction administration and document deficiencies and deviations from plans.
- Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
- Research and compile project information for reporting, marketing, and funding requests.
- Create and maintain centralized files for project records (including digital).
- Coordinate logistics and meetings for project managers.
- Help in the preparation of reports, including monthly development reports.
- Assist with community outreach duties as needed.
- Attend neighborhood, community, and project meetings.
- Undertake tasks as may be assigned by project managers.
- Have a clear understanding of the budget and assist in the creation of and adherence to project and development budgets.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Prior experience involving Rail, Transit, and/or Water/Wastewater construction projects.
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders.
- Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

The salary range for this position is between $112,000 - $135,000 per year depending on experience and/or education. These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
