FPGA layout engineer

FPGA Engineer

We are seeking a Senior FPGA Layout Engineer for an aerospace and defense team. This role requires an individual who can operate independently to develop secure computing products, processor boards, and box-level solutions. The position focuses on laying out complex FPGA- and processor-based boards with minimal ramp-up time.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex board layouts for advanced FPGA-based designs.
• Handle high-speed digital designs incorporating modern processors.
• Work with Intel, Xilinx, and other processors.
• Implement DDR memory technologies in designs.
• Conduct signal integrity analysis and power analysis.
• Manage power distribution considerations for board layouts.
• Participate in and contribute to board-level design reviews.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

Approximately 15 or more years of relevant professional experience.

Technical

Skills:

Experience in complex board layouts, advanced FPGA-based designs, high-speed digital designs, Intel/Xilinx processors, DDR memory technologies, signal integrity analysis, power analysis, and board-level design reviews.
