Our client, a leader in medical device innovation, is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the R&D department supporting product development and sustaining engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, which will align successfully in the organization.

- Provide technical leadership in sustaining products for complex Class II and Class III medical devices, including ventricular assist devices, blood pumps, and oxygenators.
- Lead complex investigations related to product performance, complaints, CAPAs, and field issues using structured root cause analysis methodologies.
- Research, develop, test, and sustain mechanical and electromechanical systems used in cardiovascular products.
- Drive cross-functional efforts to identify, assess, and implement product, process, and reliability improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Design, develop, qualify, and validate equipment and fixtures for engineering verification, reliability testing, and failure analysis activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience supporting Class II and/or Class III medical devices, including product development and sustaining engineering.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical investigations and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of FDA Design Controls, product lifecycle management, and medical device development processes.
- Expertise in mechanical design, tolerance analysis, GD&T, materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly methods.
