Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology, is looking for a“Systems Engineer II/ Sr Systems Engineer” based in Pleasanton, CA.
Job Duration:
Long Term Contract(Possibility Of Extension)
Pay Rate : $80/hr on W2

We are seeking a Senior System Engineer to support the development and integration ofnext-generation diagnostic solutions. The role will focus on integrating instruments,molecular diagnostic workflows, software, and data pipelines across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead system integration across end-to-end diagnostic workflows, including sample preparation, library preparation, qPCR, digital PCR, sequencing, and data processing
. - Define system requirements and contribute to system testing, verification, and validation (V&V).
- Develop and execute test cases and analyze results against system requirements.
- Troubleshoot system issues, manage defects, and perform root cause analysis
. - Createand maintain system requirements, specifications, integration plans, and verification documentation.
- Identify opportunities for workflow automation, simplification, and continuous improvement
. - Collaborate with assay, software, hardware, bioinformatics, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Bachelor’sdegree in Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering
, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred. - 5+years of relevant industry experience .
- Hands-on experience with instrument and software troubleshooting/integration
. - Experience with IVD, molecular diagnostics, or diagnostic instrumentation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of system testing, requirements, verification/validation, androot cause analysis
. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with NGS/sequencing, qPCR, dPCR, sample/library preparation, orbioinformatics
. - Experience with cloud-based systems
. - Scripting/programming experience, particularly Python or Java
.
