Job Summary

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is also responsible for leading the development and modeling and guiding others on implementation of regional strategic pharmacy multi-faceted and complex initiatives to enhance organizational goals and cost effectiveness; recommending improvements to strategic direction for the location pharmacys quality, service, and fiscal goals and performance to enable state‑of‑the‑art solutions, cost‑effectiveness, and quality adherence;

serving as a senior point of contact for collaborations with Pharmacy, Health Plan and/or Medical Group Leadership from the National/Region/Service Area/Medical Center/Medical Offices to lead achievement of Regional goals (e.g., developing programs, playbooks, and strategic plans); creating innovative and industry‑leading dashboards and metrics, gaining buy‑in from front‑line teams for implementation of new strategies and communications to directors; evaluating and driving improvements to the effectiveness of system infrastructures and business processes to enable achievement of strategic objectives;

understanding, applying, ensuring compliance with, and communicating information about contracts related to labor union accountability and labor relations; developing operational playbooks to ensure gaps are covered in patient care, discussing new strategies and improvements with front‑line stakeholders, and evaluating improvements for feasibility of improvements; and researching and interpreting rules to manage risk in adherence to Board of Pharmacy regulations; collaborating with and leading counsel from Pharmacy Controls and Legal for complex regulations.

Gains cross‑functional support for objectives and priorities; determines and carries out processes and methodologies; solves highly complex issues; escalates and resolves issues as appropriate; sets standards and measures progress. Develops work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines;

    coordinates, obtains and distributes resources. Removes obstacles that impact performance; guides performance and develops contingency plans accordingly; influences the completion of project tasks by others.
  • Provides strategic insight and collaboration for the future of indirect patient care strategies to pharmacy and healthcare professionals by: guiding the usage of analytics and informatics to track prescription use data and support patient‑facing teams and professionals; partnering with and leading in meetings of regional pharmacy and therapeutics committees to drive support for front‑line operations; and role modelling a patient focus throughout ones work and guiding others on how to identify patient related issues, challenges, possible improvements and championing action and change that directly impacts patient safety.
  • Supports a wide array of functions within operations and looks across the entire pharmacy landscape to ensure consistency and best practices by: leading and orchestrating across interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate pharmacotherapy safety practices and initiatives; identifying and overseeing wide‑ranging and critical pharmacy operations initiatives and programs that directly support the day to day functioning across pharmacies and orchestrates across relevant groups on the…
