Under minimal direction, coordinates and supervises pharmacyservicesincludingpreparation and dispensingofdrugs,supplies and equipment,preparation of sterile products and clinical pharmacy services.

• 1. Responsible for overall functioning of thepharmacyof thebranch.
• 3. Directs, coordinates and supervises all pharmacy activities including management of the clean roomdrug preparation, sterile products preparation,dispensation and clinical pharmacy services.
• 4. Works with Distribution Supervisor/Managerto facilitate and coordinatepharmacyoperations.
• 5. Participates/assists Distribution Supervisor/Manager intheprocurementofdrugs,supplies and equipment usedinpreparing and administering drugs.
• 6. Performsdutiesofthe clinical pharmacist as necessary.
• 7. Maintains clinical skills andknowledgeofpharmacotherapy andintravenoustherapy by reviewing the literature and attending in-services,seminars and conferences.
• 8. Performsmarketingsupport as requested.
• 9. Performs oversight of department’s performance improvement initiatives and coordinates department QA activities for pharmacy.
• 10. Participates in recruitment andhiringofpotential new pharmacy personnel.
• 11. Performs performance reviews, atleast annually, on pharmacy staff.
• 12. Participates/coordinates orientation and training of pharmacy and other organizational employees.
• 13. Participatesinbranchmanagement andinter-departmental meetings as required.
• 15. Prepares andsubmitsmanagement reports as required.
• 16. Participatesindevelopmentofthebranchbudget for pharmacy operations.
• 17.Guidespharmacytoward achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual projections basedon financial and management objectives.
• 18. Follows established channels of authority and communicationsthroughouttheorganization.
• 19. Maintains on-call schedule for pharmacists. Covers pharmacy calls as needed.
• 20. In the absence of Director of Operations, will have the authorization to act as the manager/leader of the branch.
• 21. Acts as the Performance Improvement Coordinator
• 22. Performs special tasks or projects as requested.

• Possess astrongknowledge basein intravenous admixture and clinical aspects ofhome infusion therapy.
• Possess thenecessarysupervisory/management skills and/or experiencetosupervisethe pharmacy aspects ofhomeinfusion therapy.
• Havetheabilityto work effectively with others aspartofateam.
• Havetheabilityto communicate, both verbally and written, with patients, clients, management and other employees.
• Havetheabilityto plan and problem solve.
• Possess good organizational and time-management skills.
• Dependable in attendanceandjobperformance.
