About

The Role

The Global Payroll Center of Excellence (CoE) Specialist is a tenured product specialist seller who acts as a critical advisor on high-value deals for the new Workday GO Global Payroll Motions. Leveraging deep expertise in global payroll, this role supports both Customer Base and Net New Core Account Executives (AEs) to differentiate and sell Workday’s Global Payroll solution. You will be instrumental in the Discovery & Technical Evaluation stage of the sales process and handle complex payroll inquiries.

  • Deal Execution & Technical Expertise:
    Qualify the opportunity fit and complexity. Show up for the moments that matter throughout the sales process.
  • Strategic Discovery:
    Lead first-level technical discovery to qualify the "Ideal Customer Profile" and determine the path—standard Global Payroll or the expanded EOR/Contractor suite—to maximize deal size and customer ROI.
  • Evangelism & Enablement:
    Serve as the Global Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME), enabling sales teams on the solution's technical aspects, and developing essential sales collateral and playbooks.
  • Strategy:
    Advise Core Account Executives (AEs) on deal execution strategy using a solution-based selling approach.
  • Product Feedback:
    Provide commercially-minded, "boots on the ground" feedback to Product teams to ensure our roadmap stays ahead of the competition.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related experience in Global Payroll Sales or Pre‑Sales Solution Consulting for Payroll solutions or Implementation of Global Payroll solutions, and/or other consulting experience with technical understanding of global payroll compliance and localization requirements.
  • Fluency in French, Spanish or German a plus.
Other Qualifications
  • Global Payroll Expertise:
    Proven consultancy and/or sales experience with global payroll processes and Workday systems.
  • HRIS/Workforce Knowledge:
    Excellent understanding of distributed workforce solutions and international HRIS, with deep knowledge of Global Payroll and HRIS highly desirable.
  • Sales Knowledge: A very good understanding of sales cycles and sales processes, coupled with a strong sales acumen with previous prospecting experience.
  • Technical Acumen:
    Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly learn, understand, demonstrate, and analyze software solutions.
  • Consultative

    Skills:

    Demonstrated ability to employ consultative techniques to understand client needs, build rapport, and provide insightful recommendations.
