The Business Technology Program Management Office (BT PMO) drives consistency, operational rigor, and delivery excellence across Workday s technology initiatives. We partner across engineering, operations, and business platforms to connect execution with measurable results. The BT PMO provides dedicated program management for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), critical to unlocking new markets, scaling the business, and integrating acquired companies into Workday s technology ecosystem under high-pressure timelines.
Aboutthe Role
Workday is seeking a Senior Principal Technical Program Manager (P6) to lead the M&A technology portfolio. This high-visibility role requires addressing significant issues where data and situations include intangible factors and variable risks. You will have wide latitude to determine objectives and approaches for critical integration work that affects Workday s global growth, including building networks with key decision-makers and acting as a stabilizing spokesperson during high-stakes pivots.

- Strategic Leadership
:
Lead the planning and execution of Workday s most complex cross-functional M&A integration programs from due diligence through post-close stabilization. - Pre-Close Diligence Partnership
:
Represent BT as an embedded partner during due diligence, surface technical, architectural, and organizational risk before deal terms are finalized, and inform integration-cost decisions pre-signing. - Full-Stack Integration Ownership
:
Own integration planning and execution across the full technology surface area, including GTM and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), infrastructure and security, employee experience, and customer-facing enablement. Infrastructure-only integration does not meet the role bar. - High-Stakes Decision Making
:
Exercise independent judgment in methods and evaluation criteria to obtain results in environments with friction and shifting deal dynamics. - Playbook Orchestration
:
Curate and refine repeatable M&A playbooks to codify lessons learned and accelerate future integrations. - Integration Governance
:
Act as final arbiter of trade-offs between speed, cost, and quality in critical integration decisions. - Complex Problem Solving
:
Resolve issues and design matters that arise between legacy systems and Workday standards, prioritizing scalability and compliance. - Ecosystem Orchestration
:
Create formal networks across Corporate Development, GTM/Sales Operations, Engineering, Legal, Security, and Finance to ensure value realization. - Executive Storytelling
:
Provide outcome-focused reporting to executive sponsors, translating health metrics into actionable technical strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
- 12+ years of program experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with the ability to influence at the executive level.
- 6+ years of M&A experience engaging in activities prior to close, informing due diligence, risk assessment, or integration planning, in addition to post-close execution.
- 6+ years of experience in both technical/infrastructure integration and business systems integration (CRM/GTM enablement, customer-facing product launches) with cross-functional scope.
- 10+ years in enterprise SaaS, cloud, or high-growth technology environments.

Qualifications:
- Ability to influence and align executive-level stakeholders across diverse functions to achieve long-term M&A goals.
- Deep understanding of Workday architecture and dependencies to maintain compliance and scale in a multi-tenant environment.
- Experience mentoring and developing other Program Managers to elevate the organization s M&A IQ.
- Highly adaptable and resilient; able to manage shifting priorities and organizational dynamics while maintaining a long-term focus.
