Family Law Associate - Pleasanton, CA

A respected, multi-practice law firm is seeking a mid-level Family Law Associate to join its Family Law group.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in a private firm environment and a strong interest in advising clients on a wide range of family law matters.

Successful candidates will have experience representing clients before courts and in mediation, drafting pleadings and discovery, preparing financial disclosures, working with experts, and handling settlement negotiations. This role involves close collaboration with other attorneys in the family law team to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the State Bar of California
• 4+ years of legal experience with demonstrated focus on Family Law
• Ability to independently manage client matters effectively
• Strong collaboration skills when working with attorneys and experts on case strategy
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in court settings

• Represent clients in all aspects of family law, including complex financial matters, custody disputes, and domestic violence cases
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail
• Prepare for and participate in settlement negotiations, hearings, and trials
• Collaborate with colleagues within the family law practice to deliver strong client outcomes
• Engage in ongoing professional development and community involvement

The base salary for this role ranges from $175,000 to $225,000, reflecting the firms good faith estimate. Compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and overall skill set.
