Senior Construction Manager – What You’ll Do
  • Lead complex healthcare construction projects in Pleasanton, CA, onsite five days a week.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget for initiatives ranging from major ground-up builds to renovations.
  • Drive collaboration across contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies while ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Oversee all onsite construction activities and review design submittals, RFIs, contracts, and change orders.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of construction experience preferred (healthcare in CA strongly preferred).
  • Expertise in large-scale projects ($100M+).
  • Strong negotiation, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

We represent the intersection of planning, construction, general services, and facilities operations.

Facilities Construction – Scope

Facilities Construction provides long-range construction and planning services for medium-to-large multi-year capital projects at Stanford Medicine. It oversees medical planning, capital improvement projects, and project delivery alignment with the Stanford Integrated Master Plan.

What You Will Do
  • Employees must abide by all Joint Commission requirements including sensitivity to cultural diversity, patient care, patients’ rights, safety, emergency management, teamwork, respect for others, and ongoing education and training.
  • Ensure construction is completed within budget, on schedule, and meets program objectives and government regulations.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure conformance to department, hospital, and university policies, codes, and project requirements.
  • Manage communications with project participants regarding status, problems, and required actions.
  • Lead contractor and vendor selection, negotiate contracts, and document project scope, requirements, and constraints including safety, energy efficiency, and regulatory criteria.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project records, cost estimates, and documentation per department procedures.
  • Provide leadership and support to Project Managers and construction trades.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a work-related field or discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities and any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Experience Qualifications
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of directly related work experience with responsibility in a comparable role.
  • Preferred: ten (10) or more years.
