Community Association Management (CAM) is a premier HOA management firm serving the East and South Bay. We manage a diverse portfolio of communities, delivering exceptional service and strategic guidance to homeowners' associations.

Community Association Management is looking for an Assistant General Manager to partner with our General Manager in leading and growing one of the Bay Area's premier HOA management companies.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, improving operations, and helping teams perform at a higher level. You'll work closely with the General Manager to support our Community Management team, strengthen our supervisors, improve consistency across the business, and help drive an exceptional experience for our HOA clients.

• Partner with the General Manager to lead day-to-day operations of the Community Management team.
• Coach and develop Supervisor Community Managers so they can effectively support their teams.
• Improve accountability, communication, and follow-through across the organization.
• Help build scalable processes, reporting, and operational rhythms.
• Partner on hiring, performance management, and employee development.
• Identify opportunities to improve the client experience and strengthen board relationships.
• Use data and metrics to support operational decisions and continuous improvement.
• Step in to solve problems, remove roadblocks, and keep priorities moving forward.

• Leads with empathy, accountability, and good judgment.
• Enjoys coaching managers and helping teams succeed.
• Is organized, proactive, and follows through on commitments.
• Can balance people leadership with process improvement.
• Is comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Brings experience leading teams in service, operations, property management, hospitality, healthcare, logistics, or another people-focused business.

HOA or property management experience is helpful but not required. We're equally interested in experienced operators who have successfully led teams and enjoy building strong organizations.

• Experience leading managers, supervisors, or multiple teams in a growing organization
• Experience overseeing organizations with 25+ direct and indirect reports
• Proven ability to establish, monitor, and improve operational KPIs, scorecards, and business performance metrics
• Track record of coaching leaders, driving accountability, and addressing performance issues effectively
• Experience leading operational improvements, change management, and organizational scaling initiatives
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform staffing, capacity planning, productivity, client service, and operational decisions
• Experience in a high-growth, service-based organization with recurring revenue (HOA management, property management, professional services, healthcare, or similar industries preferred)
