Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve operations within our manufacturing department. This role requires strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills to analyze and resolve complex engineering, manufacturing, and quality issues. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams and has hands-on experience with both mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Must have no less than 5 years of solid experience.

Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes, methods, tools, drawings, bills of materials, workflows, facility layouts, schedules, and packaging.

Develop, document, and update manufacturing procedures, work instructions, corrective action reports, and service notices.

Improve and digitize data collection systems; implement statistical analysis to enhance process performance.

Establish methods to track labor hours and calculate standard lead times for assemblies and systems.

Identify and qualify replacement components for obsolete purchased parts.

Partner with Quality to implement and maintain ISO 9001:2015 standards within manufacturing.

Collaborate with engineering and technicians to initiate drawing changes and improve product designs and manufacturability.

Use Jira Kanban software to manage tasks, manufacturing orders, inspections, and shipments.

Support daily manufacturing operations including electrical and mechanical assemblies and order kitting.

Work with suppliers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Assist in testing and troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems.

Read and interpret electrical schematics.

Travel as required to support projects and field activities.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.

Qualifications:

Experience with mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

Proficiency with process documentation and continuous improvement methodologies.
