ultimate staffing is seeking manufacturing technicians for our client in pleasanton! These positions are 100% onsite, temp to perm, monday-thursday 6:30am-5:30pm with a starting pay of $23-$27 an hour based on experience. Candidates with panel building experience preferred. This is not an entry level role.
job summarypreparation and assembly of wires, cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
essential duties and responsibilities wire preparation- cut & strip wire with hand tools or automation equipment
- knowledge on wire gauge, wire voltage and wire coloring code
- install wire labels and use heat-shrink gun for securing the labels in place
- install & crimp wire terminations such as pins, ferrules or lugs using hand tools or automation equipment
- ability to understand our excel “wire list” spreadsheets for
- orientation of wire labels
- knowing which terminations go on each end of the wire
- ability to read and work from manufacturing drawings, schematics, bills of material, blue prints, and diagrams
- knowledge on cable assemblies from flat ribbon cable to discrete cable assemblies
- knowledge on crimping and connection as well as plugging
- knowledge on cable & harnessing workmanship standards, prefer ipc-a-620
- ability to read and work from manufacturing drawings, schematics, bills of material, blue prints, and diagrams
- knowledge in wire harnessing and wire layout on a harness board
- knowledge on wire bundle as well as breakouts and spacing
- knowledge on tie wrapping and lacing
- able to read and interpret documents such as engineering requirements, safety rules, and workmanship standards
- able to speak effectively in english
- able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form with some assistance
- able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
