R&D Lab And Pilot Plant Technician

A leading consumer products company seeks an R&D Lab and Pilot Plant Technician to support pilot-scale manufacturing operations by preparing batches, operating production and laboratory equipment, and maintaining accurate production documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while supporting cross-functional teams.

R&D Lab and Pilot Plant Technician Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pilot-scale batches by weighing, blending, filling, packaging, and manufacturing products according to approved batch records, SOPs, safety, and quality standards while completing accurate production documentation.
  • Support pilot plant and laboratory operations by preparing ingredients, operating laboratory and production equipment, assisting with equipment setup, changeovers, test runs, and sample preparation for various product and packaging configurations.
  • Perform material handling, weighing, blending, and cleaning activities while maintaining equipment, work areas, and production rooms in compliance with established cleaning procedures and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing activities, adapt to changing production priorities, and ensure operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following PPE, safety, and hygiene requirements while performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and working in typical production environments.

R&D Lab and Pilot Plant Technician

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred OR,
  • Equivalent relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in pilot plant, manufacturing, laboratory, production, or GMP-regulated environments.
  • Experience preparing batches, weighing materials, blending, filling, packaging, or supporting production operations.
  • Ability to follow batch records, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate production records and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications..
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., wear required PPE, and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, climbing stairs, and working in production environments.
