Manufacturing Technician II
The Manufacturing Technician II performs mechanical and electrical assembly, sub-assembly preparation, and final assembly of production equipment and components in a manufacturing environment. This role sets up and operates production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures, while maintaining clean work areas and supporting production schedules through accurate reporting and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities- Perform mechanical assembly of components and equipment according to specifications and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare sub-assemblies to support the overall production and final assembly process.
- Carry out control panel wiring and ensure electrical connections meet quality and safety standards.
- Complete final assembly of products, verifying that all mechanical and electrical elements are correctly installed and functioning.
- Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements, organizing tasks efficiently to support on-time delivery.
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Clean production equipment and work areas regularly to maintain a safe, organized, and compliant environment.
- Provide accurate production, progress, or changeover reports to supervisors to support communication and planning.
- Work independently to complete assigned tasks while maintaining high quality and productivity standards.
- Follow all manufacturing, safety, and quality guidelines while working on the production floor.
- Experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical assembly.
- Proficiency in mechanical assembly of parts and equipment.
- Ability to perform sub-assembly preparation in a production environment.
- Ability to set up and operate production equipment following good manufacturing practices.
- Capability to perform control panel wiring and basic electrical assembly tasks.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in all assembly work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to stand for up to 10 hours during a shift.
- Physical ability to bend at the knees as required for assembly and equipment operation tasks.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
- Ability to provide clear and accurate production, progress, or changeover reports.
- Strong organizational skills to plan and lay out work in alignment with production schedules.
- Comfort working across different departments within a manufacturing facility.

WorkEnvironment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment with approximately 60 internal employees across five different departments. Work is performed on the production floor, which may include cleanroom or controlled areas, and involves regular use of production equipment and assembly tools. The position requires extended periods of standing, frequent bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Employees follow standard operating procedures and current good manufacturing practices, working in a setting that emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasanton, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $31.00/hr.
