Associate Veterinarian

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established, two-doctor general practice located in downtown Pleasanton, CA. This role offers an excellent opportunity to practice high-quality veterinary medicine in a supportive and collaborative environment that prioritizes patient care, client satisfaction, and work-life balance. The practice provides comprehensive services, including wellness care, dentistry, surgery, acupuncture, and diagnostic treatments for dogs and cats.

With a highly experienced support team and strong ties to the local community, including police canine units, you will have the resources and assistance needed to deliver exceptional care. This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, after-hours responsibilities, or on-call shifts, making it ideal for professionals seeking a balanced and fulfilling career in veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care for dogs and cats, including routine and preventive services
  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions using established veterinary practices
  • Educate pet owners on preventive care, treatment plans, and overall animal health
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure high standards of patient care
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations
Ideal Candidate
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) DVM/VMD in California
  • Strong commitment to practicing high-quality, compassionate veterinary medicine
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Team-oriented professional with a collaborative mindset
  • Interest in building long-term client relationships and contributing to practice growth
