Jr/Sr. Systems Integration & Test Technician (IQC & Production)

At n6tec
, we push the boundaries of innovation and engineering excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and versatile Systems Integration & Test Technician to join our production team. This hybrid role bridges the gap between Incoming Quality Control (IQC) and full system-level build, bring-up, and final validation.

Position Overview

As a critical member of our production team, you will ensure quality at every stage of the product lifecycle. You will start by inspecting incoming mechanical components using precision tools, and progress to assembling, bringing up, troubleshooting, and executing final testing on complex integrated systems.

The ideal candidate possesses a sharp eye for mechanical detail, strong data analysis habits, and the technical grit to troubleshoot both hardware and software anomalies at a systems level.

Key Responsibilities 1. Incoming Quality Control (IQC) & Mechanical Inspection
  • Perform precise dimensional and visual inspections on incoming mechanical parts, enclosures, and custom components.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools, including micrometers and calipers.
  • Collect, document, and analyze inspection data to identify supplier quality trends and ensure compliance with engineering drawings (GD&T).
2. System Integration, Bring-Up & Assembly
  • Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems following standard operating procedures (SOPs), schematics, and engineering blueprints.
  • Conduct initial system "bring-up," including flashing firmware, configuring software environments, and performing initial power-on checks.
  • Ensure all mechanical fits, cable routing, and component alignments meet n6tec’s strict quality standards.
3. Systems-Level Troubleshooting & Final Test & Crating
  • Execute rigorous final production test procedures to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot failures at the system level, isolating root causes across mechanical hardware, electronics, and software interfaces.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing and Software Engineering teams to resolve complex bugs, document anomalies, and improve test yields.
  • Maintain accurate test logs, pass/fail metrics, and quality documentation.
  • System clean up, packing and crating.
Qualifications & Skills

Required Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Mechanical or Associate’s degree in Electronics/Mechanical Technology, or equivalent hands‑on industry experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, quality inspection, or production testing.
Technical

Competencies:
  • Mechanical Inspection: Mastery of mechanical measurement tools (specifically micrometers and calipers). Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
  • Data Literacy: Proficient in collecting, organizing, and analyzing inspection/test data (e.g., via Excel, SPC software, or ERP systems).
  • Systems Troubleshooting: Proven track record of debugging complex systems where mechanical hardware interacts with software/firmware.
  • Software Familiarity: Comfort using command-line interfaces, test scripts, firmware flashing tools, and basic software configuration tools.
  • Test Execution: Deep understanding of structured final test requirements including thermocouples, test limits, and quality assurance workflows.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical mindset with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills to document defects and collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced production environment with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing assembly or testing tasks.
  • High manual dexterity for handling delicate components and precision tools.
