Store Manager, Retail & Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure the store achieves its sales plan and/or comp sales goals.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative and passionate team to run the store alongside you.
• Create buzz and customer engagement through social media, store web applications, and clienteling.
• Lead an operationally sound business by balancing organizational structure, delegation, autonomy, and customer‑first selling practices.
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, schedules, and external factors that affect business.
• Collaborate with retail leadership and headquarters partners on trends and customer feedback.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy to hit sales targets.
• Adapt to new technologies, communicate company policies and procedures, and control supply ownership as needed.
• Merchandise the store in a compelling way, leveraging planograms and launching all promotions on time.
• Build a bench of talented, passionate staff through mentorship, recognition, and feedback.

• At least 1–2 years of retail store management experience.
• Strong communication, recruiting, and operational skills (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising).
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; college degree an advantage.
• Ability to handle a fast‑changing retail environment and adapt to curveballs.
• Open‑minded and inquisitive about pop‑culture fandoms and trends.
• Able to navigate store, merchandise products with approved equipment, and pack/unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
