This position is responsible for training all field based security officers and new hires for defined programs. Maintains records and certifications for all training delivered in-house or outsourced.

- All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, associates are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.
- Instructs associates in legally mandated and company-mandated training requirements; ensures compliance with and documents the training requirements. Follows established training policies, programs and schedules to conduct courses; coordinates training activities so as not to conflict with client service schedules. Uses appropriate instructional procedures or methods, such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role-playing, and computer based training.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all PGS Policies and Procedures.
- Distributes training manuals; administers tests and evaluations; coordinates reference library, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Maintains logs, sign-in sheets, and records and prepares reports to evaluate performance and monitor progress of trainees.
- The Training Officer will have a core work schedule, but may be required to work odd hours in order to ensure that officers on all shifts are trained properly as per Post Orders and SOP.
- Provide straining of all new hires as required, and may include, but not limited to Company Introduction, safe driving and more.
- Conducts monthly and annual reinforcement training of all uniformed personnel and maintains training records.
- Oversees and schedules applicable weekly/annual certifications which may include, but is not limited to:
First Aid / CPR / AED, Physical agility, Hazmat and more. - Conducts daily Post Inspections, as well as random, unscheduled weekly Post Inspections, and reports weekly matrixes to the Operations Manager.
- Maintains licensing of all officers and ensures that officers have licensing as per City, State and Client requirements and ensure all officers meet and/or exceed compliance.
- Assists with the development of lesson plans for training as assigned.
- Reviews current Post Orders (PO) with officers along with any revisions and updates to policy and procedure that can and will affect operations.
- Administers the proprietary Five Star Security Officer Program. Maintains a monthly account of progress and monthly account for Senior PGS Management.
- May be required to perform Security Officer duties in addition to Training Officer duties.
- Carries out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned post.
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements.
Education/Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent.
