Full‑time, non‑exempt position located in Pleasanton, CA. Pay range: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour. Must reside in the Bay Area.

The Technician works inline with Project Managers and Coordinators to complete installation contracts. Responsibilities include programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and coordinating with other trades on the project site.

• Program and service fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings.
• Provide technical support to the project team and clients.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Conduct site surveys and ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems.
• Install and terminate control panels.
• Train and mentor junior programmers and technicians.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance to project team members.
• Assist the Service Department with On‑Call Rotation.
• Co‑ordinate with the local office team on project status.
• Assist in training customers on new equipment provided in the contract.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire alarm programming, service, and installation.
• Strong technical skills and training or certificates in advanced notifier programming, Onyx, network, and others.
• California Blue Card.
• Factory Certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving history.

• Frequent sitting (3–6 hours/day), walking (3–6 hours/day), standing (6–8 hours/day), and standing on ladder (3–6 hours/day).
• Constant bending of neck and waist (6–8 hours/day), frequent squatting (3–6 hours/day), climbing (3–6 hours/day), kneeling (3–6 hours/day), and occasional crawling (0–3 hours/day).
• Occasional twisting of neck and waist (0–3 hours/day).
• Constant grasping/crimping (6–8 hours/day).
• Frequently lifting and carrying 0–70 lb (3–6 hours/day).
