Flogistix, LP, a leading atmospheric solutions company specializing in wellhead and VRU compression, is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in the maintenance and repair of natural gas compression units, with a focus on General Motors 4.3L and 5.7L Engines and proficiency in Cummins 8.3 and 855 engines.

While knowledge of various engines such as CAT is beneficial, it is not required. The Field Service Technician will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our wellhead and VRU compression solutions, ensuring peak performance and reliability, as well as the safety of our employees and equipment.

• Follow all Flogistix safety procedures as well as customer‑specific safety compliance, if required at customer job sites; maintain a safety‑conscious work environment.
• Build and assemble equipment or mechanical components according to specifications.
• Track inventory on truck and accurately charge out parts as needed to maintain correct inventory count.
• Maintain a clean work environment, including proper care for company vehicle and specialty tools.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, spark‑plug changes, and tuning CNG engines.
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Replenish fluids and components of engines and equipment.
• Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
• Handle complex repairs related to the CNG fuel system, engine components, and vehicle systems.
• Inspect natural gas compression units and run diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues.
• Conduct repairs with a focus on maximizing reliability and efficiency, keeping assigned units running properly.
• Troubleshoot reported problems and implement timely resolutions.
• Conduct emissions tests to ensure CNG compressors meet emission standards set by local and federal authorities.
• Resolve customers’ issues on rental and purchased equipment.
• Keep detailed logs of work and report on issues.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest developments in compression technology.
• Participate in a positive and relationship‑building work environment alongside coworkers, customers, management, and other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education: High school diploma/GED required.
• Experience: Familiarity with various natural gas compression units. Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Skills: Basic knowledge of multimeter use to diagnose electrical issues; basic computer knowledge and experience with automation controls preferred; strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose functionality issues; excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal); ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team; commitment to ongoing learning and ability to adapt to new technology; AI familiarity a plus; must be reliable, dependable, work all shifts, arrive on time;
  
  must be a responsible and safe driver and adhere to all Flogistix safety procedures.
• Physical Requirements: Must be clean shaven. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally required to climb or balance; must be able to stand, sit, walk, kneel, stoop, use hands to handle/feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms; may work outdoors; daily travel in the field up to 75% of the time.

• 3-5 years of experience in reciprocating or screw compression.
• Proficiency in General Motors 4.3L and 5.7L Engines;
  Cummins 8.3 and 855 engine experience.
• Knowledge of 24vdc control panels and 4‑20ma systems.
• Process technology / instrumentation background preferred.

• Must be available for occasional on‑call work, which may include weekends and nights.
• This is a safety‑sensitive position; frequently required to stand, sit, walk, kneel, stoop, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Must work outdoors.
• Daily travel in the field up to 75% of the time or more.
• Must work periodically at locations with high levels of H₂S, requiring the use of supplied air during operations.

Salary Range: $24‑$33 per hour
