IR Technician

ABM Industries seeks an IR Technician to support facility safety and reliability through thermal imaging inspections. In this role, you will conduct infrared scans on electrical, mechanical, and building systems to identify anomalies, prevent equipment failures, and support preventive maintenance. You'll prepare detailed reports, communicate findings to clients and internal teams, and follow strict safety protocols. Responsibilities

• Perform infrared (IR) inspections on electrical, mechanical, and building systems to detect heat anomalies and potential failures
• Capture, analyze, and interpret thermographic images using IR cameras and related software
• Document findings and prepare clear inspection reports with recommendations for corrective actions
• Follow ABM safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and PPE standards while working in active facilities
• Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance teams, and clients to schedule inspections and discuss results
• Calibrate and maintain IR equipment and tools in proper working condition
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and follow-up inspections as needed
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, work orders, and compliance documentation
