The Purpose of Your Role

The Behavioral Health Technician I focuses on learning, creating a positive culture, and productively engaging with the team. They support client safety, effective functioning, and quality standards, collaborating with the team and supervisor to maintain treatment fidelity and client satisfaction.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Zero documentation errors weekly
  • Average Facility Audit Score 90%
  • 5‑7 hours per day of active facilitation/support on the treatment floor
  • Master BHT competencies within 30‑60 days
  • Live the OCD Anxiety Centers values by exemplifying positivity, optimism, growth, and change
  • Reduce early discharges by a minimum of 10% and ALOS of a minimum of 52 days by ensuring treatment satisfaction
Responsibilities
  • Actively engage clients through clinical interactions and skill development
  • Provide high standards of professional, caring treatment and maintain effective client interactions
  • Validate clients in a warm, safe environment and keep them motivated to address distress
  • Facilitate groups within the IOP, collect homework, document clinically, and provide feedback to primary therapists
  • Monitor clients’ daily activities and implement the treatment plan
  • Effectively manage resources to maximize client, employee, and organizational benefits
  • Plan, organize, and implement lesson plans for group settings
  • Maintain all written documentation such as progress notes and group therapy notes
  • Master de‑escalation techniques and crisis management
  • Encourage team engagement and loyalty through effective interactions that promote cooperation, trust, and respect
  • Expand knowledge and skills through supervision by licensed clinical staff
  • Maintain client satisfaction by practicing OCD Anxiety Center’s values and associated behaviors
  • Integrate OCD Anxiety Center's mission in all activities and decision‑making processes
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Present yourself professionally
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
The Skills and Expertise You Have
  • Some college education or related experience
  • Ability to think critically
  • Willingness to work as a team to meet business needs
  • Proficient knowledge of computers, including Google Docs, Sheets, and other software
  • Accurate and efficient electronic data entry
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, independent, and takes initiative
  • Multitasking, problem‑solving, interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication
  • Thrives in a changing work environment, including inside, outside, and noisy locations
  • Physical demands: sitting at a desk for extended periods, bending, lifting, and walking
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Spanish language proficiency
