PositionRemote Sensing is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to develop Payload Flight Software (PLSW) at Lockheed Martin Space. The selected candidate will work real-time next generation PLSW development and integration, using modern architectural concepts, model-based methodologies and software tool chains to deploy critical code to existing single-core processors.
Responsibilities- Develop software for real time control and interaction with other hardware and software subsystems
- Test in software-only and hardware/software environments, including execution of integration tests to validate hardware-to-software interfaces, software-to-software interfaces, and overall functionality
- Analyze hardware, software, and system requirements and implementations
- Develop and test code utilizing Model Based Design approaches
- Establish development and test tools; identify and resolve anomalies during tests on multiple software- and system-level platforms
- Identify and implement required software modifications
- Participate in technical reviews and audits of software products
- Provide hands-on design, development and integration efforts and perform software engineering in all phases of the software lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP)
- Basic Qualifications: Familiar with embedded software development using C/C++, Object Oriented Design and Real-time programming constructs
- Experience in object oriented environment and mastery of OO/UML/C++
- Active TS Security Clearance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team oriented, rapidly changing environment
- Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems, hardware, telemetry, command & control
- Experience with single board computers and real-time operating systems
- Experience with hardware/software integration
- Experience with Wind River VxWorks 6.x/7.x
- Familiarity with Python, Git, JIRA
- Demonstrated experience using the Agile methodology
