Overview
Your days are brighter here. We’re obsessed with making hard work pay off for our people, customers and the world around us. As a Fortune 500 company and a leading AI platform for managing people, money and agents, we shape the future of work so teams can reach their potential. When you join, you’ll feel it in the products we build and in how we show up for each other.
Our culture is rooted in integrity, empathy and shared enthusiasm. We tackle big challenges with bold ideas and genuine care.
The Developer Tooling team builds AI‑powered tools that enable our users – an open ecosystem of external developers – to build on Workday products with greater speed and effectiveness. The team serves a dynamic user base from administrators with little development history to professional developers. We provide a range of product offerings: a low‑code and no‑code browser editing experience, plugins for traditional IDEs and CLI tooling.
In this role you will work closely with engineers, product managers and cross‑functional peers to turn business goals into well‑scoped, high‑quality engineering work.
As a Full Stack Developer on the Developer Tooling team, you will help shape the tools that define how developers build on Workday. You will work across the stack – from React‑based interfaces to Node.js backend services – delivering features for App Builder, the Workday CLI and other developer‑facing products. Your work will directly impact how easily developers can adopt, extend and build on the Workday platform.

- Experience with application observability (Sentry, metrics instrumentation, product analytics) and familiarity with CI/CD workflows via Git Hub Actions, Jenkins or similar.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, experience with shared dependencies such as security and compliance reviews, and appreciation for technical writing.
