To provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. To enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
High school diploma or GED
Texas Certified Teacher or college degree preferred
Ability to work well with children and adults
Ability to communicate verbally and written effectively
Background working with children in an educational setting preferred
Fulfill all daily teacher responsibilities in the absence of the classroom teacher.
Present for students a positive role model that supports the mission of the school and district.
Maintain instruction that is compatible with the school and system-wide curriculum goals and provided by the teacher or campus administration.
Interact effectively with students, parents and staff.
Adhere to established laws, policies, rules and regulations as presented in the substitute handbook and online district policies.
Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions.
