Role Description The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role located in Pleasanton, TX. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day activities include conducting safety inspections and audits, performing risk assessments, investigating incidents and near-misses, and coordinating corrective actions. The coordinator will lead safety training sessions, maintain EHS documentation and records, and collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify hazards and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety.

The role also involves supporting environmental compliance efforts, such as waste management practices, spill prevention, and reporting requirements, while promoting a proactive safety culture across the facility.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, state and local requirements).
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs, including risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to deliver clear safety instructions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in documenting EHS activities, maintaining accurate records, and preparing compliance reports and safety metrics.
  • Ability to interpret technical safety standards related to manufacturing, equipment, and facility operations, and apply them in a practical manner.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant certification or coursework in Environmental Health and Safety (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHMM) and an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field are preferred.
