As a Pest Control Technician, you will perform industry‑leading pest management services for residential customers. Your responsibilities include inspecting properties, applying treatments, and advising clients to prevent future infestations.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and maintain a pest‑free environment.
- Provide recommendations to reduce the risk of future infestations.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, and support sales to existing customers.
- Ensure all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle.
- Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
- Work both inside and outside in varying climates using company‑provided weather gear.
- Perform physical tasks involving sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons.
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training or equivalent combination.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
- Licenses/certificates required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the company).
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills; ability to follow instructions for product label mixing.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
Hourly: $17.00 - $23.00
