Our client, a leading atmospheric solutions company specializing in wellhead and VRU compression, is seeking an experienced Field Technician to join their team. This is a local position so you must be located within 30 miles of Midland, TX. Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR, physical, and drug screening as a requirement for this position.

Field Technician Benefits
  • Schedule:

    6 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday (occasional on-call weekends, after hours)
  • Hours:

    averaging about 50+ hours each week
  • Pay range - $26-$30/hour depending on experience

Field Technician Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety protocols and customer-specific safety requirements at job sites to maintain a safe work environment
  • Build and assemble mechanical components according to specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on natural gas engines, VRUs, and compression equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tuning
  • Inspect natural gas compression units, conduct diagnostic testing, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Conduct emissions testing on compressors to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations
  • Manage inventory on the service truck and accurately track and charge out parts used in the field
  • Support field operations with a strong focus on equipment reliability and uptime
Field Technician

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience working with natural gas engines and/or Vapor Recovery Units (VRUs) is required
  • Familiarity with various natural gas compression units and production equipment
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including use of a multimeter
  • Experience with automation controls is preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
