Job Summary
The Home Visitor is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to the service population especially in crisis situations while maintaining compliance with established program standards.
Essential Functions- Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio‑economic characteristics.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
- Work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
- Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Travel locally as needed.
- Manage time effectively and efficiently.
Academic:
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or related field or currently enrolled in an advanced degree program. Required High School Diploma. If applicant does not have 18 hrs of social work on transcript, a Family Services Certificate must be obtained within 6 months of hire. INK will pay for 1st certification test; if failed subsequent tests paid by applicant.
Preferred 1‑year related direct service experience.
