Position: Material Handler / Fulfillment Associate

Job Overview

Yoh is looking for a Material Handler / Fulfillment Associate to join our Biotech/Manufacturing client in Pleasanton, CA. This is a hands‑on warehouse role supporting material handling, order picking, shipping/receiving, inventory movement, staging, and fulfillment for Production and R&D teams. The ideal candidate will have direct warehouse experience with order picking or selecting, pallet building/staging, inventory control, RF scanner or warehouse system use, pallet jack/forklift or powered equipment experience, and comfort working in cold‑room/freezer environments for short periods with proper PPE.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Compensation: $22–$26/hour DOE
Type: 6‑month contract with potential to convert

Responsibilities
  • Pick, pack, stage, and prepare materials for internal and external delivery.
  • Support daily fulfillment, order picking/selecting, replenishment, put‑away, and warehouse material movement.
  • Receive incoming packages, inspect and count materials, label items, and deliver materials to appropriate end users or inventory locations.
  • Build, stage, and move pallets or materials using pallet jack, forklift, reach truck, or other powered equipment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, locations, labels, and documentation.
  • Use RF scanners, handheld scanners, ERP/WMS systems, or inventory tools to complete material transactions.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, discrepancy review, and stockroom organization.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including temperature‑sensitive and ambient materials.
  • Work in cold‑room/freezer environments, including areas around –20°C, for short periods with proper PPE.
  • Support Production and R&D supply needs to help prevent material shortages.
  • Drive company vehicles as needed to deliver incoming packages and internal material requests between nearby facilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–5+ years of hands‑on warehouse, fulfillment, order picking, shipping/receiving, inventory, logistics, or material handling experience.
  • Experience with order picking/selecting, pallet building, staging, replenishment, put‑away, shipping, and receiving.
  • Experience using RF scanners, handheld scanners, ERP, WMS, Oracle, SAP, or other warehouse/inventory systems preferred.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, lift trucks, or other powered warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and performing hands‑on warehouse/material handling work throughout the day.
  • Must be comfortable working in cold‑room/freezer environments, including around –20°C for short periods with proper PPE.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.
  • Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, picking, packing, staging, and moving materials throughout the shift.
  • Experience in biotech, pharma, life sciences, medical device, manufacturing, food distribution, cold storage, or regulated warehouse environments is a plus.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, work independently, communicate clearly, and support a fast‑paced team environment.
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
