Financial Manager

Description

• Oversee and manage the organisation's overall financial function.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial planning.
• Monitor financial performance and provide management with meaningful financial insights and recommendations.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with South African tax, payroll, and statutory requirements.
• Manage and support the finance team, including performance management, mentoring, and development.
• Oversee the financial requirements of multiple branches, business units, or entities.
• Assist with financial planning and strategic decision-making.
• Monitor internal financial controls and identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies.
• Liaise with external auditors, SARS, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders when required.
• Ensure accounting systems and financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
• Provide financial support and guidance to senior management.

• Grade 12
• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or Financial Management
• Minimum 3 years’ senior financial management experience
• Experience with management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management
• Strong knowledge of South African tax, payroll and statutory requirements
• Experience managing a finance team and supporting multiple branches or entities
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting-system (Sage 200/Evolution) skills
• A professional designation through SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA will be advantageous
• Afrikaans and English speaking preferred
