We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing, multi-entity organization. This role is responsible for managing a high volume of invoices across a multi-site operation (30+ entities, 35+ locations nationwide). The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable working independently in a hybrid setting, and has strong technical proficiency—particularly with ERP systems and Excel.
Responsibilities- Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Code invoices appropriately across multiple entities and locations
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of invoice data imported via OCR into the general ledger system
- Review, verify, and reconcile vendor statements
- Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable
- Maintain electronic invoice records in a paperless environment
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoice status and payments
- Prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a multi-entity, multi-location organization
- Experience with ERP systems required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or Microsoft Dynamics AX strongly preferred
- Comfortable navigating and analyzing data in Microsoft Excel (e.g., filtering, pivot tables, lookups)
- Experience working with OCR or automated invoice processing systems preferred
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong understanding of general ledger coding and financial controls
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of comfort with technology and automation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a hybrid environment
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Adaptable and comfortable in a growing organization with evolving processes
