The Position
The Senior Specialist, Financial Planning and Analysis-US Commercial will play a key role supporting the accounting and reporting for US Gross-to-Net (GtN) and Government Pricing (GP) within our US Commercial Finance team.
Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for supporting all aspects of US GtN accounting and financial operations, including month‑end close activities, periodic forecasts, and regular monitoring of discount payment trends. The role will also ensure compliance with all federal and state government pricing programs by assisting in the calculation and validation of GP reporting, policy updates, and strategic initiatives related to GP.
The position reports to the US Market GP Associate Director (GP AD) and works closely with US Finance, US Market Access, and other key stakeholders to evaluate GP and GtN impacts.
Responsibilities- Support all aspects of GtN accrual accounting including month‑end processing and quarterly balance sheet reserve validation procedures.
- Deliver informed analyses of discount rates and customer segment mix in support of periodic GtN forecasts and annual planning processes.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of in‑house GtN tools and resources to support monthly updates of sales and discount trend analysis.
- Support accurate and timely calculations of government pricing metrics (AMP, BP, URA, PHS 340B, NFAMP, FCP) in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions to CMS, HSRA, VA, and other agencies.
- Partner with GP AD and third‑party government pricing vendors to implement, execute, review and approve price reporting.
- Partner with third‑party government pricing vendor to identify and investigate errors (e.g., incorrect customer payment) and implement preventative actions to avoid future errors.
- Review and analyze transactional data to ensure correct classification and identification of GP‑eligible sales.
- Partner with key stakeholders such as Legal, Finance, Market Access, Marketing, Labeling, and Compliance to assess the impact of pricing, contracting strategies, and policy changes on GP and GtN metrics.
- Assist in internal, external, and government audits, including data collection, validation, and preparation of SOX‑compliant control processes.
- Support ad‑hoc analyses, projects, and leadership reporting as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA a plus).
- Two to five plus years of analytical finance and/or accounting experience with extensive use of Excel.
- Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience is required, preferably experience in GP or GtN.
- Possess a high degree of integrity and personal ethics.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build rapport with key stakeholders in a fast‑paced dynamic environment.
- Process improvement orientation, innovation and change agent.
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid, 340B, Medicare Part B, Medicare Part D and VA (ANAMP/NFAMP) pricing rules and requirements.
- Experience with GP systems such as ICyte, Revitas, Model N, iContracts, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with class‑of‑trade analysis, price type classification, and chargeback validation.
- Experience supporting SOX and/or government audits and inquiries.
- Prior exposure to variance analysis for GP.
- Knowledge of commercial contracting and gross‑to‑net considerations.
