Job Summary
The Plymouth Public School District is seeking a district-wide general cafeteria substitute worker.
Reports to:
Lead Cook at needed school per Director’s request.
- Assist in preparing daily lunches.
- Learn the various food stations and methods of display.
- Help maintain a clean kitchen.
- Notify the Lead Cook of any equipment in need of maintenance or repairs.
- Develop knowledge of state regulations.
- Learn the point-of-sale (POS) system, as necessary.
These statements describe the essential responsibilities of the job; other duties not described here may be assigned as needed. Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position.
Knowledge and Skills Required- High school diploma and one year of previous related experience in school food service preferred.
- Serve Safe certification with appropriate experience and training (preferred).
- Familiarity with various point of sale systems (preferred).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and co‑workers.
- Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

Benefits:
This position does not carry any benefits.
Salary: $16.81 per hour.
