District Wide Substitute General Cafeteria Workers

Job Summary

The Plymouth Public School District is seeking a district-wide general cafeteria substitute worker.

Reports to:

Lead Cook at needed school per Director’s request.

• Assist in preparing daily lunches.
• Learn the various food stations and methods of display.
• Help maintain a clean kitchen.
• Notify the Lead Cook of any equipment in need of maintenance or repairs.
• Develop knowledge of state regulations.
• Learn the point-of-sale (POS) system, as necessary.

These statements describe the essential responsibilities of the job; other duties not described here may be assigned as needed. Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position.

• High school diploma and one year of previous related experience in school food service preferred.
• Serve Safe certification with appropriate experience and training (preferred).
• Familiarity with various point of sale systems (preferred).
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and co‑workers.
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication.
• Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

Benefits:
This position does not carry any benefits.

Salary: $16.81 per hour.
