As a Licensed Plumber (Union Position), you will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and inspecting plumbing systems to ensure their safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role provides the opportunity to work on a variety of projects supporting facility infrastructure and operations, helping maintain a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.
The Licensed Plumber reports directly to the Facilities Manager and works primarily on-site in Plymouth, MN in support of daily operations and facility maintenance needs. This position requires the application of journey-level plumbing knowledge, adherence to applicable codes and regulations, and collaboration with other trades and facility personnel.
In this role, you will contribute to the reliability, functionality, and safety of facility infrastructure by ensuring that all plumbing systems, equipment, and related components meet operational requirements, regulatory standards, and established safety practices.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, repair, maintain, and modify plumbing and piping systems, including pipes, fixtures, water supply lines, drainage systems, and related equipment.
- Perform diversified plumbing work involving the installation, repair, and maintenance of complete piping systems serving air compressors, boilers, vacuum pumps, hydraulic presses, and other facility equipment.
- Diagnose plumbing and piping system malfunctions, identify root causes of failures, and implement timely corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Plan and execute piping installations, exercising independent judgment in determining routing, placement, and connection methods while ensuring system integrity and preventing breakage, leakage, or equipment damage.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and work orders to complete assigned projects and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company standards.
- Coordinate work activities and provide direction to assigned helpers or apprentices in the performance of plumbing installations and repairs.
- Inspect plumbing systems and equipment to identify deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and support preventive maintenance initiatives.
- Order and maintain adequate inventories of plumbing materials, supplies, and repair parts required to complete assigned work.
- Identify and report equipment failures, recurring issues, or unusual operating conditions to the Supervisor for analysis and corrective action.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, inspections completed, and repairs conducted.
- Actively embrace, support, and participate in the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) and associated continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in safety programs and activities, including the Behavioral Observation Process (BOP), and maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Support and maintain 5S workplace organization standards to ensure safe, efficient, and organized work areas.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) efforts by identifying opportunities to improve processes, quality, productivity, and reliability.
- Participate in the Tiered Accountability Process, Standard Work practices, Rapid Problem Solving (RPS), and Built-In Quality (BIQ) activities.
- Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices with teammates and provide coaching and guidance as appropriate to support workforce development and operational excellence.
The annual base salary for this position is $95,195.36. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
