Accounting Manager

Vaco by Highspring has partnered with a well‑established, growth‑oriented manufacturing organization seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and support financial reporting, controls, and process improvements. This role will manage a small team and partner closely with operations and leadership to ensure accurate financials and scalable accounting processes.

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Review and prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and periodic reviews.
• Support cost accounting, inventory accounting, and variance analysis in a manufacturing environment.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Partner cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance to improve reporting and processes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month‑end close processes.
• Experience in a manufacturing or operations‑heavy environment strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with inventory, cost accounting, and fixed assets.
