We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Application Services team. The ideal candidate will have prior banking knowledge, work closely with vendors, Rockland Trust IT and our internal business partners to manage the full application lifecycle of critical parts of the core banking platform. The Core Banking Technical Admin will deliver new or enhanced capabilities, provide system administration document and develop requirements for integrations with upstream and downstream systems, and collaborate with partners to resolve technical issues.

The person in this role will play a critical role in ensuring the core banking system aligns with risk, compliance and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Product and Vendor Management
  • Manage vendor relationships related to production stability, compliance oversight, release planning, prioritization of bank driven enhancements, changes to vendor components and net-new services and integrations.
  • Collaborate with vendors, business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and prioritize bank driven enhancements.
  • Create written project requests, inclusive of objectives and timelines.
  • Participate in business process mapping and identification of opportunities for process improvements and enhancements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of system changes.
  • Assess the scope and planning for business testing and QA required by the bank for all core banking and integrated upstream or downstream product releases
  • Contribute to consolidated roadmap of bank, vendor and regulatory driven enhancements to the core banking platform and integrated upstream and downstream systems
  • Plan for business/disaster recovery testing, change freezes and year end processing
Platform Administration
  • Administer and maintain critical components of the core banking platform to ensure consistency and optimal performance.
  • Perform system configurations and updates as required, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Oversee controls, security, and system integrations with other banking applications.
Reporting, Risk, Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
  • Generate management reports on system release status, production stability, and incident resolutions.
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly business reviews (M , Q ) with the core banking vendor and business teams.
  • Support regulatory, risk and audit processes by providing necessary data and documentation and driving issue remediation where necessary.
Production Stability
  • Liaise with core banking software vendor for updates, support, and issue resolution.
  • Advocate on behalf of the business on impact, recovery, severity and closure of production outage and incident root cause analysis
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve system errors, transaction failures, and user concerns.
  • Coordinate investigation and resolution of performance bottlenecks and errors in real-time and batch processing.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant financial services experience.

Strong business analysis skills and ability to apply these skills to new technical situations.

Financial services industry experience, or previous history of successfully navigating a highly regulated and matrixed environment

5-7 years of experience managing lifecycle activities around complex financial services vendor platforms.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams, business stakeholders and vendors.
