Overview

Position Summary...

What you’ll do:

Leads and develops teams by teaching, listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams.

• Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way OBW service model; manage and support customer service initiatives and community programs; develop action plans to correct deficiencies and provide process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
• Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing PL statements, budgeting, forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring indexed alignment to sales; monitor merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and recognizing performance; promote a belonging mindset in the workplace.
• Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth potential.
• Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, setting goals, measuring progress, and addressing improvement opportunities; promote continuous learning.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support mission, values, ethics, and integrity by implementing related action plans and applying the Open Door Policy in business practices.
• Foster an inclusive culture and respect for individuals; build high-performing teams and create opportunities for all associates to thrive.
• Demonstrate integrity and accountability; model Walmart values, support a regenerative company mindset, and engage in responsible practices that benefit associates, customers, and communities.
• Serve customers and members by delivering results and applying applicable EDLP/EDLC models; make decisions based on data insights and consider stakeholders in planning.
• Strive for excellence by encouraging continuous improvement, adopting new technologies, and supporting others through change.

Minimum Qualifications – 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities that sell firearms or ammunition, may require background checks or state credentials. Associates must attend and complete job-required trainings and assessments.

Preferred Qualifications – Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; certificate in People and Business Leadership; experience supervising 5+ direct reports with responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
